Train or Locomotive

What is the difference between a train and a locomotive.

Locomotive:

A locomotive is a single power unit by itself (not coupled up to any coaches or freight). Single locomotives are usually diesel as most electric locomotives (excluding freight) are permanently coupled to their coaches.

Train:

A train is a locomotive coupled up to rolling stock. It can be any amount of freight, coaches or even flatbeds.
